What is Rocky Idle

Single-player idle/incremental game with gathering and production skills, automatic combat and a 'collection log', made by a solo developer. It progresses offline for up to 24 hours; the full version is sold on Steam and can be played in the browser with a linked Google account.

• It's a single-player idle/incremental: train skills such as mining, woodcutting and fletching, gather resources, fight in automatic combat and complete the 'collection log'.
• With the player away, skills, combat and quests advance for up to 24 hours (simulated on return), until resources run out or the character dies; offline combat has to be unlocked on the Slayer page.
• Crops and trees keep growing offline, and quests keep running in the background.
• Playing actively gives a temporary bonus to speed and batch size.
• The full version is sold on Steam (Windows); to play it in the browser you need to buy it on Steam and link a Google account. There's a free demo on Steam and itch.io.
• The game saves on the device every 10 seconds and to the cloud every 2 hours.
• The developer, who has worked alone on the project for about 2.5 years, states on the site that the art is AI-generated and explains why.
• There are no leaderboards: according to the FAQ, cheaters made competition unworkable.

Do you need to keep the tab open?

According to the Rocky Idle site, the account keeps progressing with the tab closed.

So here, keeping the tab open is more about following the account, responding to events and noticing when something goes wrong than about keeping progress.

Rules: multiple accounts, automation and VPN

The Rocky Idle site doesn't publish rules on multiple accounts, automation, VPN or real-money trading (checked Sep 22, 2026). Before opening a second account, ask on the game's Discord.

How to leave Rocky Idle running in IdleDeck
