What is Legacy of Midgard

Private Ragnarok server played inside the browser, with no client to install, where the character hunts and picks up loot on its own thanks to the automatic farming built into the client. There are no gains with the tab closed, and the game publishes its own policy that allows real-money trading between players, with no involvement from the team.

• Automatic farming is built into the client and turns on with Ctrl+F1; until the September 5, 2026 update the shortcut was F9/F10.
• The character only progresses with the game tab open: the home page warns that there are no offline gains.
• Since the September 5, 2026 update, EXP rates (base and job) are at 6x.
• RMT between players has its own rules page: the deal is arranged on the official Discord and delivery happens inside the game; the team charges no fee, does not mediate and does not refund.
• Selling or transferring the account is also allowed, but the sign-up email remains the creator's and old punishments still apply to whoever gets it.
• Trading an item obtained through a bug or duplication leads to account suspension and reversal of the items, on both sides of the deal.
• The player stall keeps 2% of each sale in zeny; the server charges nothing on RMT.
• Voting on the IdleScore and TopIdle lists does not yet give any in-game reward.
• Sign-up asks for username, email and password; the character's gender is chosen when creating the account.

Do you need to keep the tab open?

Legacy of Midgard only advances while the page is open.

Automatic farming runs in the client, with the game tab open; the home page and the terms make it clear that there is no progress with the game closed. Não existe progresso offline — preferimos dizer isso na home a você descobrir depois. (source)

That's where a regular browser gets in the way: Chrome and Edge save resources on tabs you're not looking at — they hold back timers, stop animations and, over time, may discard the tab. Rules: multiple accounts, automation and VPN

What the rules published by Legacy of Midgard said on Sep 22, 2026:

• Multiple accounts: the site doesn't say. The terms, the RMT page and the privacy policy say nothing about a limit on accounts per person, IP or computer. The privacy policy only says the server logs IP and date of last access for security and to curb abuse.
• Automation (bots, macros, scripts): the site doesn't say. The client's own automatic farming is official and the same for everyone. • Selling items for real money (RMT): allowed. Trading items, zeny and even the account for real money between players is allowed by the RMT page, which is part of the terms: it is arranged on the official Discord and delivered in the game, with no fee, guarantee or refund from the team. Trading anything that came from a bug, duplication or server flaw is prohibited. How to leave Legacy of Midgard running in IdleDeck

1. Download IdleDeck (free, Windows 10 and 11) and link the app to your IdleDeck account — it takes a minute.
2. Click Add account, go to Other game or site and paste legacyofmidgard.com/play.
3. Sign in to your Legacy of Midgard account in that window, just like in the browser. Each IdleDeck account has its own login, cookies and cache — repeat step 2 for each account the game's rules allow.
4. Turn on alerts: Windows notification, sound or a Discord webhook to know on your phone when the account drops.
5. You can minimize. The page stays awake with the window minimized or in the tray. If it drops, IdleDeck retries on its own; if the game's connection drops, it alerts you — and reloads on its own if you turn that option on in the settings.
