What is PokéHunt

Pokémon idle MMORPG played in the browser, in which the team hunts on its own across regions and keeps earning with the tab closed for up to 12 hours. It has a PvP Arena, group raids against legendaries and Megas and a player market; the rules don't forbid trading for real money outside the game, but ban having more than one account and using external automation.

• In its overview, the site mentions 684 species from generations 1 to 5, 199 hunting regions and 74 raid bosses (48 legendaries and 26 Megas); the counter on the same page shows 747 species and 330 regions.
• Each creature gets IVs from 0 to 31, a nature and a rarity rolled across 8 tiers, from Common to Divine, with Shiny separate and above them.
• It has an asynchronous 3v3 PvP Arena with leagues, raids for groups of 4 players, Mega Evolution, breeding with IV inheritance and a talent tree with six branches.
• With the browser closed, the hunt keeps accumulating for up to 12 hours per session.
• The rules allow a single account per person and may punish all accounts involved; different people in the same home, network or device don't break the rule.
• Bots, macros, scripts, autoclickers, extensions and browser automation are forbidden; only the automation that is already part of the game is allowed.
• The rules don't forbid trading for real money or Pix outside the game, but the team doesn't mediate or guarantee those deals.
• It is free; optional support unlocks Premium and the Sapphire currency, which cannot be exchanged for money.
• The Service Agreement sets a minimum age of 13 and requires guardian authorization for those under 18.
• Runs in the browser on PC and phone, with nothing to install, and the site has Portuguese, English, Spanish and Chinese versions.

The community rating is 4.2 out of 5, with 20 reviews: gameplay 4.2, polish 4.2, and real-money trading (RMT) 4.2.

Do you need to keep the tab open?

According to the PokéHunt site, the account keeps progressing with the tab closed.

You can close the browser: the hunt keeps accumulating and each session yields up to 12 hours of progress to collect on return. Pode fechar o navegador tranquilo: enquanto você está fora, a caça continua acumulando (source)

So here, keeping the tab open is more about following the account, responding to events and noticing when something goes wrong than about keeping progress.

Rules: multiple accounts, automation and VPN

What the rules published by PokéHunt said on Sep 22, 2026:

• Multiple accounts: forbidden. The rules allow 1 account per person; the mere existence of a second account is already a violation and can lead to punishment of all accounts involved. • Automation (bots, macros, scripts): forbidden. Bots, macros, scripts, autoclickers, screen reading, extensions, modified clients and browser or WebSocket/API automation are forbidden; using an external tool to keep the session active or simulate presence is also banned. • VPN and proxy: the site doesn't say. The Rules, Service Agreement and Extended Agreement don't mention VPN or proxy.
• Selling items for real money (RMT): allowed. Trading outside the official systems, including for real money or Pix, is not forbidden, but the team doesn't recognize, mediate or guarantee those deals, and everything is at the players' own risk. The official market uses in-game currency; selling a trainer (character) through the Market, when the feature is available, is also paid in in-game currency. IdleDeck and PokéHunt

PokéHunt's rules accept idle progress that comes from the game itself, but don't allow external tools to keep the session active, simulate presence or get around the inactivity disconnect. Since the account keeps progressing with the tab closed, the right way to play PokéHunt is the game's own: sign in, set things up and leave.

That's why this page doesn't teach how to leave PokéHunt running in IdleDeck. The app is still useful for games that allow it — and it never plays for you: it doesn't click, doesn't type and uses no VPN.
