What is Dragon Ball Idle

Multiplayer Dragon Ball idle game for the browser where you capture, fuse and train warriors, and hunts keep running on the server after the tab is closed. It has written rules — up to 4 accounts per computer and per connection, external automation prohibited — and lets players trade Dragon Coins, items and warriors, even for money.

• Hunting happens on the server, so it continues with the tab closed or the computer off; when you return, you collect XP, zeni and captures.
• Each capture rolls rarity, energy, Spirit, traits, six KIs and Quality, so two warriors of the same species can have very different power.
• Warriors can be fused and evolved up to seven stars, and there are seven races in a cycle of advantages and disadvantages.
• The Martial Arts Tournament is played for real, in a 2D ring (WASD to fly and Space to punch), against seven level-300 bosses.
• There are twelve universes with up to 30 people each, with an automatic queue when they are full.
• The Global Market sells warriors and items for zeni or Dragon Coin, with offers, counteroffers and escrow.
• The limit is 4 accounts per computer and per connection, enforced automatically and reviewable by ticket.
• VIP gives +30% XP, automatic capture (even offline) and a daily gift; Dragon Coins and VIP are paid via PIX or card.
• In PvP, both sides can wager zeni, Dragon Coins or warriors; the winner keeps what the opponent wagered, minus a fee (waived for VIP).
• Under-13s are not accepted; from 13 to 17, only with a guardian's permission.

Do you need to keep the tab open?

According to the Dragon Ball Idle site, the account keeps progressing with the tab closed.

Hunting runs on the server and continues with the tab closed; the FAQ warns that offline gains do not replace playing and that those who spend a lot of time away fall behind. A caçada roda no servidor mesmo com a aba fechada. (source)

So here, keeping the tab open is more about following the account, responding to events and noticing when something goes wrong than about keeping progress.

Rules: multiple accounts, automation and VPN

• Multiple accounts: limited. Up to 4 accounts per computer and per connection, with automatic blocking (reviewable by ticket for shared computers, schools or LAN houses). Keeping more than one account is accepted, but using several to stack referral bonuses, daily gifts or event prizes leads to removal of all of them, even the main one. • Automation (bots, macros, scripts): forbidden. Macros, scripts, auto-clickers, automated windows in series and any program that plays for the user are prohibited; the game's own automations, such as VIP automatic capture, are allowed. • VPN and proxy: the site doesn't say. The rules do not mention VPN or proxy; the account limit is enforced per machine and per connection, and the game stores IP and a browser identifier.
• Selling items for real money (RMT): allowed. The Terms allow passing Dragon Coins, items and warriors from one player to another, even when payment is agreed between the parties; the team stays out of these deals (no mediation, guarantee or support). How to leave Dragon Ball Idle running in IdleDeck
